Meet Christi, the mind and heart behind the Slow Yourself Down product line. As the Product Manager, she is responsible for planning each and every product that lands on our shelves.

Meet Christi, the mind and heart behind the Slow Yourself Down product line. As the Product Manager, she is responsible for planning each and every product that lands on our shelves. Her collaborative effort with makers, our incredible in house designer, Sonora, and phenomenal marketing team ensure we’re offering intentional and meaningful products that help remind you to slow down.

Christi’s vast knowledge of product merchandising and development has helped ensure Slow Yourself Down is creating not only the most desirable product in terms of quality and style, but also in sustainability and ethical sourcing. Having worked for 10+ years in the actions sport industry, Christi comes with a wide variety of skills pertaining to many product categories. While working in this field, she was empowered and motivated by creativity but felt a drain playing into the corporate structure and knew she needed a change.

In 2016, she decided to take a chance on a new life, moving to the Sierra Nevada mountains to start a dog walking company. Slowing down and spending her days wandering in the woods showed her how beautifully fulfilling a simple, peaceful life could be. It was there and then that she promised herself to never follow the beat of anyone else’s drum.

In 2023, Christi, her husband and two year old son took a trip to Kaua'i where she fell head over heels in love with the Slow Yourself Down compound. Moved by the energy and tangible proof that businesses can be run heart first, she reached out to the team when they posted a job opening, and the rest is history. She is grateful every day to work with a team that shares a vision, creative passion and heart for ethical and sustainable sourcing.

But more than anything, she is moved and inspired by the opportunity to be a part of a business who is choosing to create differently; in an effort to change the world and the way we produce and consume products. She hopes you feel this powerful energy in every product you touch at Slow Yourself Down and that it inspires you to implement the Slow Yourself Down mantra in your everyday life.
