Product & Care

How do I wash and take care of apparel?

For apparel products, we recommend machine washing in cold water with like colors.

For best results, use a normal machine cycle followed by a tumble dry on low heat, or hang dry. Do not bleach, or dry clean and iron on low heat.

Please also note that you should not iron directly on top of the decoration.

What makes your fabrics special?

For our apparel, we’ve chosen organic cotton. Not just any run of the mill cotton, GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) cotton. This certification is only awarded when the product is cared for from root to fingertip.

Production requires strict environmental and energy output mandates, wastewater treatments (no toxic dyes, heavy metals or endocrine disruptors!), etc… And for social responsibility, every maker is required to pay fair wages, have safe working environments, allow no child labor and maintain reasonable working hours.

Every step matters when bringing a product to life and we are so grateful to be able to support a mission that treats the entire process thoughtfully.

How do I wash and take care of the jars?

Hand-wash both jar and lid with warm, soapy water before first use.

The glass jars are dishwasher safe, but we recommend hand-washing the plastic lid or using the top rack of the dishwasher if absolutely necessary.

Avoid sudden temperature changes with the jar and lid. Not for microwave, oven, stovetop, or direct flame.

Are the jars non-toxic?

Yes, our Signature Glass jars are non-toxic.

They are made from food grade glass which is naturally non-toxic and free from chemicals like BPA, lead, and phthalates.

Ordering & Returns

What is your returns policy?

Within 30 days of purchase, Slow Yourself Down will gladly accept returns of brand-new, unwashed, unworn items with tags still attached. Returns of merchandise must be made in the original packaging and in the same condition that you received them; returns or exchanges for merchandise showing wear will not be accepted.

  • We do not accept returns or refunds for any food items, including our Coffee & Tea jars.
  • We do make exceptions for defective merchandise, which may be returned or exchanged beyond these conditions, subject to review.
  • All of our Signature glass jars are final sale - No returns or exchanges.
  • All Sale items are final sale - No returns or exchanges.
  • Gift cards are non-refundable after 24 hours. The card must be unused, and a purchase receipt is required for returns.
  • Orders made with a promo code can be exchanged or returned.

We also accept exchanges for in-store purchases. A $15 return fee applies, and you must provide a receipt, email, or phone number linked to your order for verification.

Can I order online and pick-up in store?

Absolutely! When going through the checkout, select 'Pick-up' as your shipping option and we'll get your order ready for when you arrive at our store.

What currency are the prices in?

All prices on slowyourselfdown.com are in USD by default.

If you do not live in the USA, there will be a currency conversion when you purchase.

You can adjust the currency that the prices show in by using the Country/Region selector at the top of the page on desktop.

On mobile, you can change the Country/Region by using the side mobile menu or find it in the footer.

Shipping

What is your shipping policy?

Your orders are shipped out from our home store in Hanalei.

Because of this, shipping times may take slightly longer than usual. We appreciate your understanding and support as we grow.

Order fulfillment is typically within 1-2 business days.

Do you ship internationally?

We ship worldwide! The only exception is our glass jars, as international shipping costs for those are too high.

All other merchandise is available for global delivery.
