Celeste is our one and only Social Media Manager at Slow Yourself Down. She graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with a degree in Media Production and a minor in Journalism. After 11 hard months of applying for corporate jobs post-grad and what seemed like endless scrolling on LinkedIn, she stumbled upon the Slow Yourself Down tent at the Pinetrees Longboard competition. She offered to volunteer and help the team sell T-shirts, not expecting that this could ultimately land her the job she'd been searching for so long. A month later, she began her first day working with Slow Yourself Down at a studio shoot. 

Celeste was born and raised on the North Shore of Kaua'i, making her a true island local. Growing up on Kaua'i meant being immersed in nature and having an understanding and appreciation for a slower, simpler lifestyle. She spent ten years living on the mainland pursuing her higher education through high school and college. Moving away from home taught her the art of adaptation and gave her a perspective on the world outside of the tiny island she grew up on. She was pleasantly surprised when life led her back to Kaua'i, where she discovered a meaningful career path close to home. Being part of a production team has been a fulfilling experience, one she remains profoundly grateful for.
