The heart and soul of our brand.
Daniel

Daniel Sherer wears many hats at Slow Yourself Down—some creative, some operational, all slightly sun-faded. But don’t let his relaxed presence fool you—he’s one of those rare people who can bridge the gap between big ideas and the nitty-gritty details that bring them to life. He’s the guy making sure the brand runs smoothly while also telling stories, shaping design, and ensuring everything feels just right.
Before helping build Slow Yourself Down, Daniel spent years as Associate Creative Director at GoPro, leading a team of filmmakers and content creators to capture stories that inspired millions. His work took him across the globe—from towering sequoias to remote Arctic landscapes—teaching him the art of adapting on the fly, collaborating to solve creative and technical challenges under pressure, and bringing ideas to life at the highest level.
But these days, he’s more interested in slowing down—not just for himself, but for all of us. To him, Slow Yourself Down isn’t just a brand—it’s a mission. A commitment to craftsmanship, thoughtful storytelling, and doing things well. He believes the best parts of life—the ones that truly stick—aren’t in rushing to do more, but in the process of doing something with care and intention.

Daniel often asks, What are we slowing down for? For him, the answer is simple: to celebrate life, to honor connection, and to remember the beauty of being present. Slowing down is more than an action; it’s a prayer, a conscious choice to engage with the world beyond the rush of modern life.
For Daniel, nothing embodies this philosophy more than time in nature, especially with his family—surfing, dancing, cooking, making art, or simply soaking in the world’s quiet magic. Surfing, creating, and being in the elements aren’t just pastimes—they’re reminders of why this work matters. Because to Daniel, slowing down isn’t about doing less—it’s about making what you do truly count.
